ABRASIVE BLASTING
Abrasive blasting is a system of preparing and/or cleaning surfaces with an air stream of abrasives propelled through a nozzle at a high velocity. This system has emerged as the modern method of industrial surface preparation and has proven to be the most economical and efficient.
The particular blast media selected depends on the specific application, "Hard" abrasives are generally used for removing paint,rust and scale from structural,tanks,concrete and other hard surfaces. In this type of application the principal concern is cleaning,and hard abrasives with fast cutting action are most desirable. "Soft" abrasives are required where surface removal is minimized and where critical dimensions and tolerances must be maintained.
